Hi, I am new to the forums and pretty much to the game since it has been 7-8 years since I last played. I found my ra2 disk in a box and decided to give it a go, figured out how to get it online by coming to xwis.net.

I then remembered I used to play yuri's revenge but did not have the disk. I downloaded it from xwis.net but I got a couple of problems. Problem #1 - When I tried to play the game a message popped up basically saying 'Binkw32.dll file was missing'. I then just copied the 'BINKW32.DLL' file from my ra2 file and put it into the yuri's revenge file. (Please tell me if I have done wrong.) This helped me get past the error message though. Problem #2 - Now the game tries to load but now I get this message: 'yuri's revenge encountered a problem and can't continue, please visit westwood.com for latest updates and support' (Something similar to that message.) Please does anybody have a step by step guide on how to get the game to work. I am not the best with computers so please keep it simple lol.

I do not have the game disk but I do have the serial # since I found it written on a piece of paper in my ra2 case. (Sorry if this has already been explained somewhere on the forum. I have not had time to search around.) Thank you in advance! This is what I would do because I'm mostly computer illiterate but I know this will more than likely work: 1. Delete your ra2/YR so you can start fresh. Download RA2 from XWIS and then download YR 3.

I'm assuming you have valid serial so go to www.xwis.net/cp and log in with your xwis.net credentials, '19mrjay89' etc. Register your RA2 serial number here 4. Once you register your serial either nicknames will come up from the past or nothing, in the case of nothing (probably will happen since it was 7-8years ago) make a nickname by selecting 'ra2' in game and creating one, it will be listed after you do 5. Once you create a nickname you should see 'Game password' or 'Xwis password' this is the password you will have to use to log onto ra2 or yr 6. If you start ra2 or yr right click it and hit 'run as administrator' this will make it so it will 'remember' your password when you type it in 7. Hit internet 8.

Log in with the nickname you created + the game password listed on your control panel, make sure you say 'remember password' in the event you log on and there's nobody there followed by a disconnecting it should say something in the lobby. Or something make sure you post that here as it will give us information on what caused the problem. Also, if you plan on playing on RA2 online you should get the auto ss uploader which is specifically for ra2, it has a map patch + some other patches + the auto ss component. The auto ss component automatically uploads screenshots of your game to xwis.net. This is to prevent cheating and promote fairplay so it is HIGHLY encouraged you get this.
